CORBEL – ‘Coordinated Research Infrastructures Building Enduring Life-science Services’, is an initiative of thirteen new biological and medical research infrastructures (BMS RIs), which together will create a platform for harmonised user access to biological and medical technologies, biological samples and data services required by cutting-edge biomedical research. CORBEL is funded from the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
The CORBEL Medical Infrastructure Users Forum will take place on 15 October in Paris (Sorbonne University).
The purpose of the forum is to promote collaboration between research communities, funding bodies and medical research infrastructures; the conference will represent the opportunity to raise awareness of medical RIs and exchange with scientific communities.
The forum will discuss:
- The structuring of medical research communities at the pan-European level.
- The emerging needs of medical research projects in the context of big data and personalised/stratified medicine.
- The challenges raised in terms of development and deployment of data services
