HRB ECSA 2020
The Health Research Board is investing €5 million to build research capacity among health and care practitioners over the next five years. The Emerging Clinician Scientist Award is designed give people the opportunity to take the first step on an independent research career path.
The call for applications, is now open and targets health and care practitioners at post-doctoral level and it is also open to people currently working outside Ireland. It will allow protected time for research and will also backfill clinical time so that patient service levels are not affected.
The €5 million investment will support up to five awards. Each award will buy out 40-50% of lead applicant time and have a maximum value of €1 million, including overheads. Application for the award is a two-stage process. Stage 1 applications close on 16 May 2019.
