The Health Research Board has launched Postdoctoral Fellowship awards for 2020, with the theme of ‘Applying Research into Policy and Practise’ (ARPP).
The overarching aim of the HRB Postdoctoral Fellowships – Applying Research into Policy & Practice (ARPP) scheme is to develop talented and skilled health researchers during the postdoctoral stage of their research career.
The ARPP call focuses on applied health research in areas of strategic importance at local, national or international level (as opposed to focusing on investigator-led research).
It particularly emphasises the ability to apply research evidence in improved healthcare and health policy, in order to reduce the gap between research findings, health policy and/or clinical practice. Projects can be in the areas of clinical research, population health research and/or health services research.
The call is now open with a closing date for applications of 1.00 pm on 24th October 2019. Full details of the fellowships and the application process can be found on the HRB website.
