Under the All-Ireland Cancer Consortium, the Health Research Board has the opportunity to provide access to two prestigious courses in cancer prevention at the National Cancer Institute in the USA. This includes a four-week course on the principles and practice of cancer prevention, and a one-week course on molecular prevention. The HRB supports travel-related costs.
The All-Ireland Cancer Consortium aims to provide world-class cancer care to people on the island of Ireland and, to this end, participates in a range of educational programmes. As part of the 2020 Consortium activities, the Health Research Board, in association with the National Cancer Institute in the US and the HSC R&D Office in Northern Ireland, invites applications for the prestigious NCI Summer Curriculum in Cancer Prevention programme.
