Our colleagues at the Swiss Clinical Trial Organisation (SCTO) are celebrating their 10 year anniversary and have created an online research question portal. The aim of this portal is to allow both research staff and the general public, pose clinical research questions to experts, who will respond to the best questions in short videos.
The SCTO is an independent organisation and is based on a joint initiative of the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences. Since 2017, the SCTO has been a research infrastructure of national importance, funded by the State Secretariat of Education, Research and Innovation and the Swiss National Science Foundation.
The SCTO are the national partner for the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN) in Switzerland and they have observer status. The national partner for ECRIN in Ireland is HRB CRCI.

An outline of the project from the SCTO : “People. Data. Biosamples.” offers an online platform for the exchange at eye level among patients, researchers, study staff, ethics committees, authorities and the general public who take an interest. In this way, we integrate the concerns of society into the design of clinical research and promote the cooperation of all participants – because only with collaboration, can clinical research be sound and successful.
